Student Volunteering Officer

So God, you want me to do this?

I had a phonecall from the President of the student union this evening asking me if I'd like to be Student Volunteering Officer. Apparently my name came up at a meeting and he was asked to 'encourage me'. Nomination deadline is Thurs 12pm so I've got to decide by then and come up with a manifesto. Hmm.... I don't even do any volunteering in York!

I don't really know what it involves. I'm meeting up with him tomorrow lunchtime. I just asked my housemates but they're weren't interested. They're a bit distracted by the fact that Sarah managed to set the grill on fire today. ;)

I don't know what to do. It's sounds like a cool title and would look good on my CV, but I don't think I could do it. It means talking to people and arranging and organising things!

Am I just suffering from a lack of confidence in myself?

Do I have time for it?
